Dear MLK Day volunteer,

Thank you for working as a team on Monday to improve the learning environment of the Hoover Community School.  Our work was highlighted in the San Mateo Daily Journal (click here for article).  And, below is an excerpt from a thank you note from, Amanda and Sean, the school’s administrators:
"Thank you all so much for an incredible Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service here at Hoover Community School. Our teachers and staff are incredibly grateful for all the hard work that went into cleaning our classrooms and common spaces, and we saw many smiles as folks saw clean rooms and very kind notes from volunteers. The Hoover families who attended were grateful for the support of community members and glad to have the opportunity to work together with them…The children who participated in the read aloud and book making activity had a blast and were very excited to show me their beautiful books!”
Enjoy the attached pictures for your memory book.    You can see the full set by clicking here.  (We missed those of you who could not make it.) We hope that you will join us again next year!
All our best,

Dick, Ineko, Florence and Karen
